Journey times include estimated border crossing time (usually 10–20 minutes). Can be longer during peak hours or holidays. Larnaca is the recommended airport for visitors heading to Kyrenia — it's the most direct route.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a visa to cross from South Cyprus to North Cyprus?
Most nationalities (EU citizens, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, etc.) do not need a visa to enter North Cyprus. You need a valid passport. Your passport will receive a North Cyprus entry stamp, but this does not cause any problems with South Cyprus or EU travel. Check our Passport & Visa guide for full details.
Can I rent a South Cyprus car and drive it into the North?
Technically yes, but most South Cyprus rental companies prohibit driving their vehicles into North Cyprus, and their insurance is invalid in the North. You would need to buy additional insurance at the border crossing. It is much easier and cheaper to rent a car from us in North Cyprus directly.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
No problem — we monitor your flight status. If your flight is delayed, we adjust accordingly and your driver will wait for you. Just message us on WhatsApp if there are any major changes.
How long does the border crossing take?
Usually 10–20 minutes at Metehan checkpoint during normal hours. During peak summer months or public holidays it can take 30–45 minutes. We try to cross at optimal times when possible.
Do you offer return transfers (North Cyprus back to Larnaca/Paphos)?
Yes! We offer return transfers and can arrange this as a package. Many customers book the transfer in + a rental car for their stay + transfer out. Ask us for a combined quote.
What currency should I bring to North Cyprus?
North Cyprus uses the Turkish Lira (₺). However, British Pounds (£) and Euros (€) are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants and shops. There are exchange offices just after the border crossing and ATMs in Kyrenia. We recommend having some local currency for small purchases.
